Red Hot for Summer

Red used to be a very intimidating color to me. It’s so bold, so in-your-face, and often times connected to feelings of anger and aggression (things I don’t love feeling). But then the 💃🏼 emoji came out, and I started wearing a red lip now and then. Now I have dyed my hair to be a redder hue and was in prime position to fall in love with this jumpsuit!

I saw the gorgeous red jumpsuit during my very first week at work and I knew it had to come home with me. I tried it on and it fit like a glove, then I just bided my time until I could use my discount. Lol. Since then it has been such an amazing piece, I would have had no regrets if I had paid full price for it!

It has taken me from work to my brother’s high school graduation. It doesn’t need a ton of accessorizing with the bold color and fun shoulder detail, but I love to rock my splurge item, the Gucci belt, when I can! The jumpsuit is a touch too long, so I paired fabulous Gianni Bini platform sandals to keep the legs from dragging the ground. And what says summer more than sunflowers? I love to pick up flowers from the store whenever I can, it really is a little luxury that has such a positive impact on my day!

Anyway, since getting over my fear of red, I bought a second red piece from The Impeccable Pig, and have my eye on a few other things as well! I find myself suggesting red items to customers at work too. If something’s been holding you back from wearing red I encourage you to take the plunge, even if you start with just a red lip!
