Friends, it’s that time. We say goodby to another year and look forward to the next. 2019 was perhaps my favorite year yet and I am beyond excited for what 2020 will hold! In today’s post I’m going to reflect on a few things that made this year so great and share some of my plans for the upcoming year. We are speaking things into existence over here!
Going to the nail salon can be a lot of fun. Several people I know have it as a staple of their self-care routine. And it’s easy to see why. You feel pampered and who doesn’t love cute nails? I was a huge advocate of nail salon visits upon moving to Dallas. But my random schedule, location(s), and cost drove me away from the habit. Not to mention, the electric filing on my nails were not doing them any favors. In today’s post I am sharing with you what I have found to be the easiest DIY manicure!
With only a couple weeks until Halloween, now is when we truly see the differences in society. I’m talking about the two primary groups we are all divided into: Those who I have been planning their costume since July and think posts like these are for amateurs, and those who realized, “oh snap, I gotta figure out what I’m doing for Halloween and what I’m going to wear”. Welcome, second group. This is a safe space, I too am a last minute costume planner.
Sweet summertime is upon us everyone! That means longer days and soaking in some sun! (With the appropriate sunscreen of course). And with that means time for a new swimmie or two. But we aren’t all made of money, I know I’m not! But how do you know if those cheap swimsuits you’re getting ad targeted for on Instagram are worth it? I took the chance for all of us and ordered 10 swimsuits from Shein.com for a total of $100. In this post I’ll be sharing the good and bad on what these $10 a pop swimmies are worth.
Moscow Mules. They have nothing to do with Moscow, but they are delicious! I think I was introduced to them sometime after moving to Dallas. Maybe it was when I met my friend Meg at The Statler’s pool over last summer. ANYWAY it was love at first sip for sure. Easy to drink, not too sugary, and refreshing! Here I’m going to show you the recipe I found and followed to make ginger syrup that is the base for the best Moscow Mule I’ve had!
