Listen, I will never turn down a classic black pair of boots, I mean they go with EVERYTHING. But there’s just something so fresh about taupe, beige, bone, and ivory in a boot. It brightens up every look. And while black may go with everything technically, sometimes what goes best with your ‘fit is on the lighter side.
Part of my job is being on call. This means for a 12 hour period I have to be ready to go to the airport and work a trip with as little as 2 hours of notice. A couple weeks ago I woke up like any other day, only on this day I had a notification I would be working the flight to London that night! I couldn’t believe it and was so excited! Upon boarding the plane I was greeted by a fellow crew member, Erica, who told me her plans to walk most of the city when we landed. We only had 23 hours after all. I agreed to join her, here’s how my one day in London went.
Back in October of 2020 I started going blonde from ginger. The decision ultimately came about because I was furloughed from my job, no longer had a dress code to follow, and had wanted pink hair since I was a kid. Not being a natural light blonde I knew I would need some bleaching to get to the shade of pastel pink I wanted. I learned a lot about hair and the coloring process during my appointments. Without further a-do here are the top 3 things I learned about going blonde.
I have wanted to go to Paris ever since I saw a photo of the Hall of Mirrors in Chateau de Versailles when I was 10 years old. I tried to make it happen several times throughout my life but between life events and money the trip never came to be. At the beginning of July 2021, I saw someone post a photo from Versailles with it practically empty. France had just reopened to foreign tourists and the crowd sizes were very low. I looked at my July schedule, saw I had four days off at the end of the month and decided it was time.
With my first and last day taken up by travel, I had just 48 hours to see as much as I could in the City of Light. I put some feelers out to see if anyone else was available to go with me, and luckily had two friends, Melissa and Amy, to explore Paris with!
Last summer I started sharing about my acne and how bad it had gotten from daily mask wear. I have changed my skincare routine a few times since then. Tried some things that worked and some things that didn’t. Now, a year later, I am so thrilled with how far my face has come. Today I am sharing my routine in hopes it could help someone else.
