Well ladies, they got me. After years of resisting all the social media ads, Fab Fit Fun got me to sign up for their spring 2020 box. How did this happen? And why did I, before receiving this first box, go ahead and pay in advance for a year’s worth of boxes? I’m here in a completely unsponsored post to tell you about my experience thus far with what seems to be the most popular quarterly box subscription service there is.
What Finally Got Me to Subscribe
I have seen ads for Fab Fit Fun for years. While I have been impressed with their product selection before, nothing had been a big enough incentive for me to sign up. Until the Spring 2020 box came out. The product that caught my eye the most were CALPAK packing cubes. Being a flight attendant, it is a daily duty to pack up a suitcase. I had been wanting to try packing cubes for sometime but hadn’t pulled the trigger. With Fab Fit Fun offering a set of 3 (a $40 value!) in the Spring box, my interest was piqued. And because I had never subscribed before, I got the introductory offer of $10 off my first box, making it $39.99 instead of $49.99. Seeing as how the box was the same price as the packing cubes, but with extra goodies, it seemed like a no brainer to sign up.
I love how happy the box looks!
Why I Chose the Annual Plan Subscription
After signing up and selecting seasonal billing, I thought for a moment, checked my bank account and upon feeling particularly rich in that moment, went back and selected annual billing. I knew I wanted to try out a few boxes now that I have started and decided in that moment it was better for me personally to pay upfront instead of getting a surprise bill each quarter. I know I could set up reminders but even then I know I would forget. The annual billing plan comes in at $179.99 before tax saving you $20 vs. quarterly billing. Fab Fit Fun also add benefits when you ‘upgrade’ to the annual plan. The most important one to me is early customization. I like surprises as much as the next person but if I’m spending $50 on one of these things I want the products inside to be useful to me!
On to the Important Part: What Came in the Box?
After customizing here’s what came in my box + a small blurb on what I think about it. All products are linked through their header, and there are no affiliate links.
reVive Light Therapy® Glō Wrinkle and Anti-Aging Light Device ($68 value)
I personally don’t have a lot of interest in anti aging products at this time. I thought someone else in my life would be interested it trying it out though!
CALPAK Set of 3 Packing Cubes in Sorbet ($40 value)
The product that had me sign up! This is what I was most looking forward to receiving. I have enjoyed using these and plan to do a whole in depth review on weather or not I think packing cubes are worth it!
Gravity Weighted Sleep Mask ($40 value)
This is another product that upon seeing it in the customization process I was very excited to try out. Y’all this is HEAVY! I sleep on my side and it’s not a good every night option for me. I do want to try storing the insert in the fridge though and see how effective it is as an at home spa item!
Jabonería Marianella Imperial Jade Body Oil ($68 value)
This light weight body oil has been really nice. It absorbs quickly, doesn’t leave me greasy and smells pleasant. Body oils aren’t really my thing though, I prefer lotions.
This Works Deep Sleep Body Cocoon ($40 value)
I LOVE this product! Its ultra calming scents of lavender, chamomile, and vetiver get me in the right headspace for sleep. It is super moisturizing and my current favorite night time lotion!
Better Skin Epik C Serum: Power Trio Complex ($38 value)
I have heard many wonderful benefits of vitamin C serum. I am trying to be careful with introducing new products into my skincare routine so I have not started using this yet.
Chic & Tonic Set of 4 Silicone Straws + Brush Cleaner & Case ($15 value)
I love that we are moving away from plastic straws, but paper straws are not my favorite substitute. Thankfully with these silicone straws and their carrying case I have my own plastic straw replacement! Plus the silicone is easier on my teeth than my metal straws I also own.
Winky Lux Rainbow Lip Balm ($18 value)
This was SO FUN to find in my box. It wasn’t a choice in the customization process so I can only assume it was in every box. The balm is crazy colored but it goes on with a slight tint and adjusts to your pH for the perfect subtle shade of pink! I know Target just started carrying this brand and I would love to try more of their products.
Final Thoughts
I’m glad I signed up for the annual plan. It was so fun to receive the box and check out all the premium goodies inside and I’m excited to see the products for the rest of the year. I don’t know if I will re-up the subscription next year, it all depends on where I am with my finances. But for the time being I am enjoying it. I do like Fab Fit Fun better than some subscription services I’ve done in the past like Julep, Birchbox, or Ipsy. Nothing is wrong with these services, I just felt like I wasn’t getting the most out of them. I would rather pay a little more for products I feel are more useful.
As I said before this is not a sponsored post. I am not being paid to talk about this product, nor did I receive it for free. That being said, most online services like this do have referral codes. If you’ve read this post and thought “Yeah, I’d like to try that out” I’d love for you to consider using my referral code. You get $10 off your first box and I will receive a $15 credit towards any purchases I make through the site. However, if you don’t use my code that’s cool too and you can go straight to their website and still get $10 off your first box!
