Day-Date in Dallas

Last weekend my boyfriend, Bailey, was able to come and visit me + celebrate our 4 years of being together! With me having the weekend off we took advantage of the free time to have a day-long date. I was so excited to spend time with Bailey as well as get dolled up for our date.

Bailey and I had a wonderful time further exploring downtown Dallas. We were able to do this once before when he visited, but we had no idea what we were doing and it was COLD. While we still weren’t 100% sure of what we were doing, ‘cold’ is the last word I would use to describe this time around. Lol. After taking the DART from Plano into the heart of downtown, we headed to the Dallas Museum of Art. I HIGHLY recommend checking out the DMA if you’re in Dallas. It’s expansive, air conditioned, and the best part, FREE! After wandering around the museum for a few hours, we hung out in Klyde Warren park before getting snacks of ice cream and donuts. We finished the day by heading back to the Plano area and having dinner at Earl’s Kitchen in Legacy West. It was so tasty and I will certainly be back!

Big shout out to the girl that took our photos for us! #GirlsHelpingGirls (and boyfriend)

I bought this dress from work (Dillard’s) with the intention of taking graduation pictures in it while I was home a few weeks ago. The weather did not allow for that unfortunately, and I have been dying to wear this dress out ever since. It fits my personality perfectly. The girly-ness of the large floral print, the classic navy, and a little edginess with the cut-outs. I relied on my trusty Steve Madden Irenee sandals to keep my feet comfy all day. I also carried a new bag I bought day before from GB (in the kids section!). It’s a jelly bag (like jelly shoes) so it will be super easy to clean with just the swipe of a damp cloth. While it’s small, it can still fit my card holder, lipstick, phone, and sunglasses – on top of being so adorable! I loved the versatility of being able to have the long chain over my shoulder or carry it by the top handle.

All-in-all it was such a sweet time to spend with Bailey and celebrate our relationship. Check out my story highlights “Bailey” on my Instagram to see more shots from our day.  He truly is the best guy I know! Let me know if y’all have any suggestions of what else to check out in Dallas for his next visit!

Thank you so much for reading!
